Mark Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in South Carolina, with over 40 years of lived experience. As a seasoned and compassionate mental health professional, Mark has dedicated himself to providing guidance, counseling, and life coaching to individuals seeking support and empowerment.
Born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, Mark’s journey towards self-discovery and acceptance has shaped his understanding of the unique challenges faced by those with mental illness. Mark holds an undergraduate in business management and was called to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. His academic pursuits were driven by the desire to create a safe and inclusive space for individuals to explore their issues, overcome obstacles, and thrive.
Mark has a deep commitment to the support and well-being of his community, fueled by the diverse range of experiences during his professional journey. Working with the non-profit Therapy Resource Group, he has honed his skills in individual and group therapy, grief and loss, and trauma-informed care.
In addition to his clinical work, Mark is a certified life coach; enabling him to provide a holistic approach to his client’s well-being. He believes in empowering individuals to tap into their own strengths, set meaningful goals, and navigate life’s challenges with resilience and authenticity. Mark’s life coaching expertise complements his counseling practice; allowing him to support clients in achieving personal growth, career development, and overall life satisfaction.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mark gets great satisfaction in giving back to the community through volunteering for numerous organizations, advocating for client rights, mental health awareness, and social justice.
